This session will report on the key initiatives concerning advocacy around children and HIV/AIDS, as presented and deliberated at a 2-day symposium: Children and HIV/AIDS Action Now, Action How. This symposium takes place on August 1st and 2nd 2008, at Hotel Nikko in Mexico City, just before AIDS 2008 Mexico City. What are the most exciting initiatives happening at the country level? What can donors and international NGOs do to support those initiatives through funding and international cooperation? And what are the gaps in this work? This topic will be discussed from the perspective of supporting children and families generally, and also on efforts to infuse an early childhood approach into the work of child and youth advocates. A discussion will follow the presentations.
