UNAIDS and WHO estimates give the number of people living with HIV in the region as 1.6 million. The session will provide unprecedented opportunity for dialogue and interaction among political and community leaders, scientists and other researchers, people living with HIV and representatives of civil society from across the region in response to the challenges of the AIDS crisis.
