Registration Fees
To encourage broad participation in the conference, organizers are offering a two-tiered fee structure, with lower registration fees for delegates from middle/low income countries (World Bank classification) and students/post-docs.
The registration fee for regular delegates and students/post-docs includes entry to all conference sessions, the exhibition area, the poster area, the opening session and the closing session.

International AIDS Conference Fees – Switch from US Dollars to EURO
The registration fees for AIDS 2008 and for all International AIDS Conferences in the foreseeable future will be paid in EUR rather than USD.
The USD has been very unstable for a long period and has dramatically weakened against many currencies. Most experts predict a further fall in the USD.
The conference expenses are however paid in many other currencies, including Swiss francs (where the international conference secretariat is located), Mexican pesos, EUR, etc.
By receiving payment from conference registration fees in USD, the conference loses substantial revenue and would be in danger of not being able to deliver on its commitments to quality of programme and speakers, international scholarships, Global Village, etc.
The Executive Committee of the IAS Governing Council, as the organization responsible for the finances of the International AIDS Conference, has therefore decided to switch the registration fees to EUR. The level of the fee will, however, be the same as decided by the Conference Coordinating Committee on November 20, 2006 using the exchange rate between USD and EUR from that date.
